MEET DR. BILLINGS

Dr. Terry Billings is a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. After graduating from Jesuit High School, Dr. Billings attended LSU and graduated from its dental school in 1981. He practiced for 25 years in Arabi until Hurricane Katrina relocated his office. Now, Dr. Billings and his staff offer their services in Metairie. He has been married to Jeanne since 1988 and they have two children, Emily and Taylor.

Dr. Billings has over 1000 hours of continuing education and training, and is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the New Orleans Dental Association. He is also a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the American Orthodontic Society, the American Association for Functional Orthodontics, and the International Association for Orthodontics (for which he is a Fellow and Board-Eligible).

MEET OUR STAFF

Many of Dr. Billings's staff have been assisting him for well over 20 years. Our patients have come to know us and trust us. We remember and recognize our patients. That helps us better care for their health and makes them more comfortable.

Reneé & Suzette – Hygienists
Reneé started with Dr. Billings in 1989 and Suzette in 1995. From ages 2 to 92, Reneé and Suzette take the time to educate our patients in proper dental care in order to assure a lifetime of optimal dental health. From pediatric patients to geriatric patients, recare to special care, they bring to the practice over 60 combined years of experience and knowledge.

Lori – Orthodontic Assistant
Lori has worked with Dr. Billings since 1982. She is highly experienced in orthodontic technique. Together with Dr. Billings, she has helped reconstruct and create beautiful smiles for many patients ranging from adolescent to adult.

Melissa & Tammy – Dental Assistants
Melissa has been working for Dr. Billings since 1990, and Tammy since 1995. They each sit chair-side with him and assist with all dental procedures. They always try to make visits as comfortable as possible, especially for children. Melissa and Tammy also make sure patients understand what procedures will be done and answer any questions, including home care or post-operative instructions. 

Judy – Patient Coordinator
Judy has been with Dr. Billings since 1990. After appointments, she assists patients in understanding treatment plans and any fees associated with it. She files with insurance/benefits companies for any pre-authorizations and schedules upcoming visits.

Linda – Practice Manager
Linda has been working with Dr. Billings since 1984. She makes sure the office runs efficiently and handles the business end. She also makes sure the office is orderly to help ensure that patients have a pleasant experience. 

Shannie – Front Office Coordinator
Shannie is the newest member of our staff, joining us in 2007. She welcomes patients as they arrive and assists them in gathering insurance/benefit information. She also makes sure that all patients are seen in a timely matter.
